Star Gazing

Star Gazing started with a failed attempt at a previous cardigan idea I had been nurturing for a while. I was left scratching my head looking at a sweater quantity of Knitpicks Galileo in color "Pearl".

The yarn is soft and drapes sumptuously, with a glamorous sheen that I could easily picture in a light warm weather cardigan. Not suitable for my original project (which involved cables and a lot of shaping), but totally adapted to a drapey open fronted cardigan with a large collar.

I built a large lace collar to frame the face and take advantage of the fluid nature of the yarn and decided to integrate it with a simple raglan yoke and straight body.

The result if very flattering for all figure types and supremely easy to wear.

Star Gazing is now available for individual download in my Ravelry store.

  1. Love it (I know I saw it before during testing), but I just wanted to say how great your pictures and model are. Bravo on this pattern!
